Job Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Sr Design Engineer to join our team. As a Sr Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering chiller plant rooms, including preparation of schematic and design layouts, and provision of standard output drawings in AutoCAD (2D) and RIVET (3D).

You will work closely with the MEP, HVAC clients, consultants, sales, and delivery teams to gather basic information and design the plant room. You will also prepare technical data sheets for equipment, interact with vendors, clear queries, and submit to client/consultants.

As part of your role, you will estimate BOQ and costing for plant room works and optimize quantity and costing. You will also coordinate with internal and external customers/stakeholders as applicable to review and/or prepare detailed designs of chiller plant rooms and low side air conditioning systems.

We are looking for someone who is proficient in written and verbal communication, has good teamwork skills, and is able to travel locally if needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in chiller plant room design in RIVET and AutoCAD, overall 8 to 12 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of major equipment like chillers, pumps, VFDs, cooling towers, and the interpretation of their technical data sheets to prepare detailed drawings.
  • Skills: Ability to design plant rooms independently, proficient in written and verbal communication, good teamwork skills.
