Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Asset Procurement Specialist to coordinate procurement activities related to IT-based hardware and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and coordinate with the procurement team to obtain network hardware and software from approved vendors.
  • Manage quotation requests, price comparison, and vendor negotiations.
  • Track and maintain inventory of IT assets and licenses.
  • Coordinate with the IT operations team to ensure timely renewal of software licenses and warranties.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and invoices.
  • Evaluate vendors based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Create and update procurement documents such as purchase orders and vendor agreements.
  • Maintain procurement compliance as per company policies and audit requirements.
  • Track delivery and installation of hardware; escalate vendor delays if needed.
  • Collaborate with finance for payment processing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in hardware/network equipment procurement
  • Knowledge of Cisco, HP, Fortinet, or other switch/IP phone brands
  • Familiarity with software licensing models (Microsoft, Fortinet, etc.)
  • Proficient in Excel and other procurement systems
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet procurement deadlines
  • Fluent in Tamil and English (written and verbal) for effective communication with global vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in IT, Electronics, Supply Chain, or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in IT procurement or IT operations

Preferred Certifications:

  • ITIL Foundation
  • Cisco CCNA (basic understanding helpful for hardware evaluation)
