Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

Job Description:

The Electronics Hardware Design Engineer will lead the design, development, and testing of electronic hardware products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality electronic products that meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic hardware products, including schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection.
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers to integrate electronic hardware with firmware and mechanical components.
  • Develop and maintain design standards, procedures, and specifications for electronic hardware products.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify new technologies and trends in electronics hardware design and recommend improvements to existing products.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in embedded hardware designs using MCU (8/32-bit) ARM-Cortex Series STM32, ESP32, Nordic, and other manufacturers is essential. Familiarity with serial protocol interfaces such as SPI, I2C, RS-485, UART, USB, and analog, digital, and mixed circuits designs is required. Additionally, knowledge of high-speed design and routing, schematic design, BOM management, PCB layout & signal integrity, and cost and feature optimization is necessary.

Experience in IoT applications, analog and digital circuit designs, SMPS design, communication circuits, discrete circuits, and PCB bring-up and hardware debugging is highly desirable. A strong background in safety and compliance certification tests like UL, CE, MID, FCC, etc. and ability to work with power electronics, motors, and drive systems is also required.

Education and Certification:

A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Electrical Engineering (EEE) is mandatory. Experience in wireless communication technologies like GSM, Wi-Fi (Dual Band), Zigbee, and Bluetooth is an added advantage.
