Renewable Energy Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Renewable Energy Acquisition Specialist to play a critical role in identifying and acquiring suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects across Maharashtra.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Land Identification and Acquisition: Identify and acquire suitable land parcels for solar/wind energy projects, considering technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.
  2. End-to-End Land Acquisition Process Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end land acquisition process including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.
  3. Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.
  4. Title Due Diligence: Conduct thorough title due diligence to ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with legal teams.
  5. Right of Way Acquisition: Oversee RoW (Right of Way) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  6. Documentation: Ensure clear and accurate documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  7. Local Market Analysis: Monitor local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to ensure cost-effective deals.
  8. Team Supervision: Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  9. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflict resolution and address any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
  10. Project Progress Updates: Regularly update management on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in land acquisition or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful land acquisitions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of local land laws and regulations.
