Job Title: Senior Business Risk Management Leader

  • The Senior Business Risk Management Leader will oversee the development and execution of a risk-based annual internal audit plan that aligns with management inputs, business priorities, and an assessment of the business risk environment.
  • The individual will support the identification and finalization of vendors to be contracted for the execution of program activities.
  • They will lead the execution of the internal audit plan (in-house or outsourced) as approved by the audit committee, ensuring timely execution as per plan and reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Additionally, they will lead the execution of functional audits (in-house or outsourced) as per the annual plan approved by the audit committee.
  • They will track, monitor, and report the status of open internal audit observations to all stakeholders every month.
  • Further, they will lead the execution of follow-up audits to assess the efficacy and effectiveness of management remediation on observations noted in internal audit reviews.
  • The Senior Business Risk Management Leader will develop and maintain internal audit SOP, including templates, protocols, and documentation requirements.
  • They will create a repository of audit programs, checklists, templates, and tools as an aid for standardization and consistency in the execution of the internal audit program.
  • Moreover, they will plan, develop, and maintain audit support tools to improve audit process quality and efficiency.
  • They will partner and support the Risk Management function, providing inputs to identify and assess entity and functional level risks.
  • Additionally, they will provide input to the risk identification and assessment program for new emerging risks identified during the execution of the internal audit program.
  • Finally, they will leverage the output of risk assessment as an input to develop a based internal audit plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Education: Chartered Accountant

Desired Education: CIA, CISA, CWA

Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience in implementing, delivering, and embedding risk management at both strategic and operational levels. Proven experience of undertaking audits across a wide and diverse area of the organization.

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to interface and influence all levels of management.

Knowledge and Specific Skills: Well-equipped with knowledge/skills in corporate governance, internal audit & risk management domains.
