Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead and manage independent projects across operational risk management areas.

  • This includes internal control assessments, SOP development, third-party risk management, incident management, loss data, and business continuity for financial institutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Operational Risk Management: You should have extensive experience in operational risk management, including risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and compliance.
  • Risk-Based Process Reviews: You should be able to conduct thorough risk-based process reviews to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
  • SOPs and Policies: You should have a deep understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies related to operational risk management.
  • Educational Qualification: A Chartered Accountant (CA), Master's in Business Administration (MBA), or any other relevant master's program is required.
  • Certifications: Project Management Certification and Operational Risk Management (ORM) Certification are preferred.
Job Description:
  • Lead and manage independent projects across operational risk management areas.
  • Review, verify, and validate existing frameworks, policies, procedures, and risk and control matrices.
  • Meet business needs and regulatory expectations by assessing key aspects of each area under review.
  • Demonstrate independence in planning, stakeholder engagement, testing design and execution, results interpretation, and presentation.
  • Produce documentation strong enough to evidence a sound challenge to both internal and external parties.
  • Work with stakeholders from every part of the firm, investigating operational risk and governance standards, and undertaking detailed risk and control self-assessment (RCSA).
  • Define Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) along with associated thresholds, undertake KRI monitoring, and establish and link it to loss data and incident reporting workflows.
  • Understand process risk and controls, compliance requirements, and the financial services industry, businesses, regulators, and their roles.
  • Prepare proposals, pitch decks, present in client meetings, and produce thought leadership documents across various ORM-related areas.
