Job Overview

As a skilled HVAC designer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and finalizing detailed working drawings for commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance with project standards and coordinate with other services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop precise HVAC working drawings according to project guidelines to guarantee adherence to contract documents and cooperation with cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection teams to resolve technical issues and maintain ISO documentation and drawing records.
  • Support quantity take-offs and drawing approvals while monitoring productivity and assisting in quality control processes.
  • Identify additional work and inform the project lead to ensure timely completion of projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, including chillers, air handling units, variable air volume systems, fan coil units, ventilation, and smoke control systems.
  • Familiarity with GCC codes and Civil Defence regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in HVAC calculations and software such as HAP, with knowledge of Revit and Navisworks being a plus.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of related MEP systems to provide comprehensive solutions.
Education and Certification
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • HVAC training certification is preferred but not mandatory.
