Sustainability Consultant

As a senior member of our sustainability team, you will play a key role in driving sustainable development across various industries.

You will be part of the Sustainability Industries practice and contribute to strategic and operational advisory services in areas such as resource efficiency, climate goals related action in supply chains, decarbonization, water neutrality, and material and resource circularity to global corporates.

The following are some of your key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Plan and execute sustainability research and advisory projects in areas of Resource Efficiency, Renewable Energy, and Cleaner Production.
  • Focus on integration of ESG facets and global mandates into sustainability interventions formulated for clients.
  • Identify areas for primary and secondary research parameters and reliable data sources.
  • Collaborate with project/internal teams to devise a cohesive solution for client projects/problems/programs/products.
Client Engagement:
  • Develop impactful written and oral presentations to prepare reports with data insights, trends, and patterns after analysis.
  • Ensure client projects/engagements are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner leading to client satisfaction.
Team and Time Management:
  • Monitor project progress on quality parameters and timelines, providing oversight and inputs to team members on assigned tasks.
  • Use internal/project management tools to record time utilization towards respective projects.
  • Manage and guide associates/analytics to align them with company/client expectations.
Business Development Support:
  • Support practice leadership in crafting collateral such as White Papers and Intelligence Briefs, and participate in preparing business proposals.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Flexible and creative mindset; curious and creative individual able to understand complexities of client organization's products/markets.
  • Ability to work 'hands-on' and multi-task in an energetic environment.
  • Strong analytical abilities and excellent presentation skills.
  • Data Analytics skills - Assessment and Visualization Skills to extract and present relevant data information.
  • Well acquainted with techno-commercial assessments, and project finance essentials.

Academic Qualifications & Experience:

  • Masters in disciplines such as Engineering, Environmental Management, Economics or a related domain with appropriate intersection with Sustainability.
  • Relevant 4-6 years of experience in Consulting or Industry roles related to Sustainability, resource efficiency, circular economy, sustainability target setting, carbon accounting, ESMS frameworks, ESG due diligence, and/or ESG governance.
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards or frameworks such as GHG Protocol, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Integrated Reporting (IR), CDP, and Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) is a plus.
