Job Opportunity: Tax Expert

The role of Assistant Manager is pivotal in our organization, involving the provision of critical support in assessment proceedings with tax authorities and conducting research on direct tax and transfer pricing issues.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in assessing ongoing matters with tax authorities.
  • Maintain relationships with tax authorities to ensure timely and accurate support.
  • Draft and submit rectification applications as needed.
  • Conduct thorough research on direct tax and transfer pricing issues, preparing technical submissions and replies to be filed before tax authorities.
  • Prepare and file corporate tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Independently handle TDS returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key Interfaces:

  • Internal: Manufacturing, Legal, Sales & Marketing, Senior Management.
  • External: Auditors, Consultants.

Performance Metrics:

  • Improved communication and collaboration with regional finance managers.
  • Timely and accurate support for strategic & annual planning.
  • Reliable forecasting and re-estimates.
  • High-quality analysis of company performance.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (2021–2024 batch).

Experience:

  • 1–4 years of relevant tax experience (Big 4 preferred) and/or MNC.
  • Exposure to corporate tax and international taxation.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax and international tax regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.
  • Business acumen with adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and hands-on with strong initiative.
