Strategic Advisor

The role involves leading advisory engagements for Indian and foreign businesses, overseeing mergers, demergers, business acquisitions, investment structuring, and joint ventures while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic execution, regulatory compliance, and optimal tax efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support clients throughout the business lifecycle by conducting detailed quantitative analysis and managing seamless execution of plans.
  • Ideate on tax structuring options for multinational clients and evaluate India inbound structuring options.
  • Manage end-to-end regulatory compliance processes for acquisitions and coordinate the implementation of subsequent mergers and consolidations across India.
  • Plan tax due diligence work and advise clients in negotiating transaction terms based on findings.
  • Devise practical approaches to resolving tax issues in structuring assignments and conduct comprehensive reviews of business operations to identify tax planning opportunities and compliance gaps.
Client Relationship Management & Business Growth
  • Proactively communicate updates and developments on assignments to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior financial executives to create a high-quality professional network.
  • Identify leads from public and private sources and share new potential client databases with partners for review.
Knowledge Base Management
  • Understand the tax compliance landscape and ideate technology-based solutions to improve compliance efficiency.
  • Acquire industry insights to improve current services and develop content for networking events.
  • Share knowledge acquired from external forums with team members and update knowledge management databases.
Brand Representation
  • Represent expertise at external forums and interact with peers to build a high-quality network.
  • Publish articles and research papers to increase visibility and credibility.
Team Guidance
  • Provide guidance to the team to deliver on assignments and identify challenges to be overcome quickly.
  • Connect with team members regularly to ensure assignment closure within agreed TAT and track team performance.
  • Assess individual and team performance on assignment closure and share feedback and learnings.
Client Service Delivery
  • Review available information and assess data/documents required from clients.
  • Research and scrutinize all aspects of assignments to ideate and provide optimal solutions.
  • Build client relationships and develop a strong understanding of client requirements and businesses.
  • Scrutinize Notice/Orders and share inputs with Principal/Partner for further steps.
