Senior Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions to provide expert advice on tax matters.
  • Draft high-quality advises, opinions, and compliance reports to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Create engaging Power Point presentations for client meetings, trainings, seminars, and other engagements.
  • Analyze client data to estimate tax impact on business transactions and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop scenario-building skills to determine the most tax-efficient business model.
  • Contribute to articles, monographs, and other publications to showcase expertise and thought leadership.

Client Service Delivery:

  • Provide exceptional client service delivery and execution, including proactive identification and discussion of technical issues.
  • Handle tax matters, such as preparation of submissions, replies to notices, and appeals, while meeting firm risk issues.
  • Execute work on a multiple client base with near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
  • Develop strong relationships with middle layers of client management and commercial acumen.
  • Stay abreast of firm-wide and competitor activities, as well as general business trends.
  • Apply knowledge to deliver solutions to clients and bring value to the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) with first attempt or an LLB from a known Law School with a strong academic track record.
  • Excellent English language skills, including fluency in conversation.
  • Academic background and good personality.
  • 2-4 years of experience in indirect tax advisory/litigation post qualification experience.
