Job Title: Senior Content Editor

Department: Edex

Experience: 8 – 12 Years (preferably in education domain)

Qualification: Master's in Journalism / Mass Communication

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Content Editor for our Edex team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, student affairs, and youth trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior management on content strategy and editorial planning.
  • Curate engaging content focused on education, careers, innovations, and student life.
  • Support in conducting interviews and field reporting when necessary.
  • Coordinate with designers and digital teams to ensure timely content delivery.
  • Lead a team of writers and interns to ensure quality and consistency across all content.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to plan and structure content for Edex print and web editions.
  • Assign tasks, track progress, and provide editorial feedback to team members.
  • Edit and proofread articles for accuracy, clarity, and grammar.
  • Stay updated on current education trends and policies impacting education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
  • 8 – 12 years of experience in journalism, preferably with a focus on education, youth, or career-related content.
  • Strong editing, writing, and storytelling skills with impeccable grammar.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple assignments.
  • Familiarity with digital publishing tools and social media platforms is an added advantage.
  • A keen interest in education system and youth affairs.
