Project Management Expert

This role oversees the IT Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring successful execution of all IT projects. In addition to managing the PMO program and driving continuous improvements, it plays a hands-on project management role for critical IT initiatives and leads a team of project managers and coordinators.

  • Accountable for the IT Portfolio processes, including planning, portfolio governance, project methodology framework, and resource capacity management.
  • Ensure project management standards and practices are implemented across the IT project portfolio.
  • Supervise and mentor the project management team, providing performance reviews, career growth, and training.
  • Create staffing plans for internal and external resources; make recommendations regarding contractors or full-time additions.
  • Analyse project proposals to determine timelines, funding, and required processes.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project teams through all project phases.
  • Implement effective communication, including steering committee meetings and status reports.
  • Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Align project goals with business objectives and deliver on time and within budget.
  • Employ agile methodologies while operating within the organization's SDLC framework.
