Mortgage Origination Role

The role of a senior mortgage loan originator is pivotal in the origination and correspondent experience of US home loan products. A professional interface with title companies, clients, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, and mortgage lenders is crucial for ensuring the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct day-to-day management, attendance, training, hiring, recruiting, and performance reviews for all junior loan officers.
  • A working knowledge and hands-on expertise in RESPA/TRID review and other federal, state, and industry compliance requirements are essential.
  • Elevate service levels for customers by assisting in the application process, overseeing all mortgage loan closings, and completing all post-closing requirements efficiently.
  • Ensure future salability and quality control of residential mortgage loans and refinances by adhering to lender underwriting guidelines and federal and state regulations.
  • Develop coaching and training programs for new and existing staff, focusing on quality assurance data to drive improvement in lender decision-making.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 72-84 months of mortgage origination experience (post-closing review, PQA, etc.) and correspondent experience in US home loan products is required.
  • A working knowledge of mortgage industry regulations, including TRID guidelines, is necessary.
  • Management experience in human resources or operations management is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Strong supervision, organization, and math skills are required.
  • Good attention to detail and sound judgment skills are essential for making quick decisions within policy and standard operating procedures.
