Branch Manager Job Description

The role of the Branch Manager is a vital one, requiring strong leadership and business acumen to drive overall branch operations. This includes managing sales growth, distributor and dealer relationships, branch profitability, operational efficiency, and team leadership.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth & Management: Develop and implement strategies to drive sales targets and revenue growth for the branch.
  • Distributor & Dealer Management: Foster strong relationships with distributors and dealers to develop and manage channel partner networks.
  • Branch Operations & Administration: Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including billing, collections, stock, and logistics management.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and monitor the branch sales & support team, providing training on products, software solutions, and sales processes.
  • Customer & Market Engagement: Strengthen relationships with key clients, address customer queries, and conduct market research to provide insights to management.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, laws, and regulations, and prepare MIS reports, branch performance data, and sales forecasts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong Leadership: Proven track record in sales and business development, with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Business Acumen: Financial management experience, with ability to work under pressure and deliver results in competitive markets.
  • Education & Experience: Graduate / MBA in Business Administration, Sales, or related field, with minimum 7–10 years of experience in Sales/Branch Management.
