Job Title: Strategic Learning & Development Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead our organizational learning and development function. As the Strategic Learning & Development Leader, you will be responsible for driving business growth through effective leadership development, talent management, and capability building initiatives.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a strategic leader in learning and development. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement a pan-India L&D strategy aligned with business goals. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive L&D strategy that addresses organizational capability gaps and drives business growth.
  • Establishing and operationalizing Management Development Centres (MDCs) and Assessment Centres for leadership pipeline development.
  • Driving organizational capability building across technical, behavioral, and leadership domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Your core focus areas will include:

Strategic Leadership
  • Developing and executing a pan-India L&D strategy that aligns with business transformation and growth.
  • Establishing and operationalizing MDCs and Assessment Centres for leadership pipeline development.
  • Driving organizational capability building across technical, behavioral, and leadership domains.
Talent & Leadership Development
  • Developing and executing succession planning frameworks and high-potential talent programs.
  • Creating customized learning journeys for different employee segments.
  • Leading executive coaching, mentoring, and career pathing initiatives.
Learning Infrastructure & Innovation
  • Integrating digital learning platforms across locations.
  • Promoting blended learning models including e-learning, workshops, simulations, and on-the-job training.
  • Leveraging AI and analytics for learning impact measurement and personalization.
Stakeholder & Change Management
  • Collaborating with plant heads, functional leaders, and HRBPs to identify learning needs and deploy solutions.
  • Acting as a change agent for cultural transformation and continuous learning.
  • Managing external partnerships with universities, consultants, and tech providers.
Governance & ROI
  • Defining and managing the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery and measurable ROI.
  • Establishing KPIs for learning effectiveness and reporting outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and industry-specific training mandates.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field from a Tier 1/2 institute.
  • At least 10-18 years of experience in L&D, with at least 5 years in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience in setting up MDCs/Assessment Centres and leading capability building programs.
