Payroll Expert

Job Description:
  • We are looking for a highly skilled Payroll Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete payroll cycle, ensuring accurate calculation and timely salary disbursements.
  • The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of state and local payroll tax laws and regulations, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll tax issues.
  • Additional responsibilities include reviewing and verifying employee attendance, CTC, and all inputs to incorporate in the system for salary calculation.
  • Also, the candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing payroll tax returns, including quarterly and year-end reporting, as well as resolving any payroll issues or discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll cycle, ensuring accurate calculation and timely salary disbursements.
  • Review and verify employee attendance, CTC, and all inputs to incorporate in system for salary calculation.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and year-end reporting.
  • Resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies and provide solutions to ensure statutory compliance and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of labor compliance regulations and requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve payroll tax issues.
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems and software, preferably Darwin box.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compliance:
  • Aware about payroll-related compliances: Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and Gratuity, TDS return & Form 16 Issuance)
  • Timely preparation and generation of challans for PF, ESI, and Income Tax, along with maintaining accurate payment records.
  • Understanding of Labor compliance regulations and requirements.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including employment contracts, termination documents, and compliance certificates.
  • Ensure all records are updated and stored securely in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare and submit required compliance reports to regulatory bodies as needed.
