The Event Hosting and Presentation Specialist will play a crucial role in hosting, presenting, and facilitating various events, shows, and functions at Chandigarh University.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  1. Host university events, conferences, workshops, seminars, cultural functions, sports events, and other programs to engage with diverse audiences and create a lively atmosphere.

  2. Deliver live commentary and engage with the audience through interactive elements to ensure a smooth event execution.

  3. Introduce speakers, dignitaries, and guests, ensuring a seamless transition between different segments of the event.

  4. Conduct interviews, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions when required, using effective communication skills to facilitate meaningful interactions.

  • Audience Engagement Strategies:

  1. Engage with the audience through interactive elements, ice-breakers, and informative segments to maintain an energetic and professional demeanor.

  2. Ensure all event timings are adhered to and manage transitions between segments to provide a cohesive experience.

  3. Work closely with the event team to understand the theme, objectives, and content of the event, and prepare scripts, speeches, and presentations accordingly.

  1. Collaborate with event coordinators, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution and provide feedback to improve the flow of the event.

  2. Research relevant topics and information to provide accurate and engaging content, aligning with the event's tone and message.

  1. Represent the university in a positive, professional, and articulate manner during public interactions, showcasing the institution's vision, values, and messages.

  2. Assist in promoting events through social media platforms and university channels, recording short video snippets or highlights for promotional use.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an anchor, host, or presenter in a professional setting, such as television, radio, live events, or media.

  • Prior experience in hosting educational or corporate events is preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi/Punjabi is a plus).
