Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to maintain the integrity, security, and performance of our Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database health, addressing potential issues proactively, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Support: Provide day-to-day support for Oracle databases, including monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Database Maintenance: Perform regular backups, restores, and patching tasks to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Database Design: Assist in designing and implementing database structures, objects, and procedures to meet business requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Problem-Solving: Respond to and resolve database-related incidents and service requests efficiently and effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Database administration and support.
  • Oracle Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c/19c environments, including database architecture and internals.
  • Tools & Technologies: Experience with Oracle tools such as RMAN, Data Pump, and SQL-Plus, as well as proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Skills: Familiarity with database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning, excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification: Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Operating Systems: Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Cloud Computing: Exposure to cloud-based database services such as Oracle Cloud or AWS RDS.
