Database Administrator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our critical database environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle Database administration and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases across various platforms.
  • Perform routine database administration tasks including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions to ensure optimal operation.
  • Manage database security, user access, and implement auditing measures in compliance with policies.
  • Configure and maintain high-availability solutions such as Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Database administration.
  • Strong experience with Oracle database backup and recovery using RMAN.
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for scripting and database management.
  • Experience with database security best practices and implementation.
