Procurement Leadership Opportunity

Kauvery Hospital, a renowned multispecialty facility, is seeking an experienced procurement leader to oversee procurement activities.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in identifying reliable vendors, negotiating cost-effective purchases, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machinery spares, consumables, and services.
  • Quotation Management: Obtain quotations, compare price, quality, and delivery terms, and finalize purchase orders.
  • Sourcing Strategies: Develop alternate sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply.

Vendor Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conduct vendor performance evaluation, and negotiate contracts.

Purchase Operations Management: Issue Purchase Orders (POs), ensure timely procurement of materials, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with the stores/warehouse for replenishment.

Cost Optimization Initiatives: Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality, benchmark prices, and identify opportunities for bulk/long-term contracts.

Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate procurement records, ensure compliance with statutory regulations, and audit requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems / MS Office.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Vendor relationship management.
  • Cost-conscious with attention to detail.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering / Management.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup.
