EU ETS Compliance Officer Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting compliance and sustainability initiatives by managing vessel data, finances, and documentation. It involves coordinating with teams, owners, and managers to ensure accuracy.

  • Maintain records of submissions and communications for designated vessels.
  • Ensure receipts of EUAs, financial securities, and penalty payments are properly recorded.
  • Generate reports for internal reviews and regulatory compliance tracking.
  • Support data collection efforts for GHG intensity assessments and compliance reporting.
  • Assist in identifying and rectifying discrepancies related to cargo, fuel usage, port calls, and other vessel operational data.
  • Respond to internal requests for voyage-related data, including proof of sustainability and fuel data specifics.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance, quality, safety, or EU ETS-related roles within the shipping industry.
  • Strong proficiency in digital tools for data collection and reporting, along with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage vessel data, finances, and documentation to support compliance and sustainability initiatives.
