L0 Monitoring Analyst Role

This role entails real-time monitoring of servers, network devices, applications, jobs, and services using various tools. The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying, logging, and escalating alerts, events, and anomalies in accordance with defined procedures.
  2. Escalating incidents to L1/L2 support teams based on severity.
  3. Performing routine health checks and validations as per established runbooks.
  4. Tracking and updating incident tickets in IT service management tools.
  5. Documenting incidents, actions taken, and resolution steps.
  6. Communicating with on-call engineers and shift leads for follow-ups or escalations.
  7. Ensuring monitoring dashboards and tools are operational and reporting any issues.
  8. Providing shift-wise handover updates and contributing to incident reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, networks, and applications.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work 24/7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Meticulous and able to work independently with tight deadlines.
