
Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare special meals or substitute items as required.
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions.
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator as needed.
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish for all dishes.
- Maintain accurate food logs to track inventory and sales.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared to meet customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues during busy periods to ensure smooth service.
- Inform management of excess food items to utilize in daily specials.
- Inform Food and Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock menu items to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
- Ensure the quality of food items meets high standards.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold foods to meet customer demands.
- Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees to achieve common goals.
- Follow company and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional to represent the establishment positively.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to support team efforts.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs promptly to ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Utilize clear and professional language when communicating with others.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods to fulfill job requirements.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping to prepare food.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
