Payroll Governance and Compliance Leader

This is a highly challenging role that requires a seasoned professional to lead payroll governance, statutory compliance frameworks, and benefits strategy for a rapidly expanding workforce while ensuring seamless HR operations, policy adherence, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in payroll operations.
  • Establish payroll governance checks, reconciliation processes, and compliance validation with Finance, driving automation and integration of payroll systems with HR and Finance.
  • Design process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency, leading employee benefits programs including group insurance, leave policies, and gratuity administration.

Risk Management and Compliance

Ensure organizational compliance with labor legislations, PF, ESI, TDS, gratuity, and other statutory requirements, representing the organization during inspections, audits, and liaising with government authorities.

HR Operations and Benefits

Lead employee benefits programs, supervise Full & Final settlements and exit compliance, collaborate with HRBPs on policy implementation and grievance redressal related to employee benefits.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in payroll & statutory compliance, preferably in large-scale healthcare/manufacturing setups.
  • Strong expertise in HRIS and payroll automation, in-depth knowledge of labor laws and government regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage audits, inspections, and statutory filings, strong leadership, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
