Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations, ensure statutory compliance, and maintain accurate employee data. This role will also be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing payroll systems, and supporting HR data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing with accuracy and timeliness.
- Administer salary inputs including attendance, leaves, reimbursements, and variable pay.
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, Gratuity, etc.) and file returns.
- Address and resolve payroll-related employee queries effectively.
- Support the Performance Management System (PMS) by ensuring accurate payroll data integration for appraisals, increments, and performance-linked payouts
Operations & Data
- Maintain and audit employee master data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Reconcile payroll data with finance and generate regular MIS and reports.
- Support HR operations during onboarding, exits, and employee life-cycle updates.
Systems & Process Excellence
- Manage payroll modules in HROne (or equivalent HRMS).
- Partner with internal teams to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency.
- Conduct system checks, validations, and ensure smooth data flow across HR, payroll, and finance.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with data security standards.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Key Requirements
- Graduate in Commerce, Finance, HR, or related field.
- 3+ years of payroll operations experience in mid/large organizations.
- Hands-on expertise with HROne or similar HRMS/payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and labor laws.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations).
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
