Procurement Manager Position

Orbit Skyline seeks a Procurement Manager to onboard. This key role will define and implement strategies to optimize supply chain performance.

The Procurement Manager defines metrics, monitors supplier performance, and ensures continuous improvement. This includes evaluating quality, setting performance benchmarks, and accessing risks associated with supplier selection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously improve processes to deploy and develop best-known methods for procurement, inventory control, and manufacturing strategies.
  • Encourage early supplier involvement in new product design, leveraging suppliers' expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability.
  • Establish goals with suppliers to meet forecasted demand.
  • Act as an escalation point to resolve shortages.
  • Represent procurement management on cross-functional teams to address supply challenges and ensure customer needs are satisfied.
  • Collaborate with engineering and suppliers to resolve complex problems and ensure timely delivery of critical materials.
  • Develop presentations, white papers, and process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, managing global suppliers for direct and indirect materials and services.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing agreements and contracting.
  • Experience in developing, managing, and improving supplier performance metrics such as OTD, Consignment, and Leadtime.
  • Creative thinking, strong problem-solving capabilities, and solid analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization.
  • Good skills in MS Office, ERP familiarity (SAP experience is a plus).
