Housekeeping Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Associate to join our team. As a Housekeeping Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, including dusting, polishing, and removing marks from walls and furnishings.
  • Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items, and make beds.
  • Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items from guest rooms.
  • Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
  • Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
  • Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
  • Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.

Requirements:
No prior experience is required, but previous housekeeping experience is preferred. You must be able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
No high school diploma or GED equivalent, no related work experience, and no supervisory experience are required. However, having these qualifications may be beneficial.
