System Analyst Position

At the forefront of technological advancements, we seek a skilled and experienced System Analyst to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will play a critical part in analyzing technology systems and processes for new feature implementation and design improvements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in retail technology, specifically with Oracle XStore software, to help analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration of the Point of Sale (POS) application with our omni-channel systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications for the POS application.
  • Building business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, for strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Ensuring production data accuracy, integrity, and cleanliness for guest and employee profiles, transactions, etc.
  • Building and optimizing monitoring and alerting capabilities across multiple integrations, not limited to POS.
  • Automating report generation in Power BI, Splunk, etc., to get meaningful KPIs.
  • Understanding the architecture of applications and the technology stack to recommend appropriate strategies to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, QA testers, and IT support staff.
  • Analyzing real/actual data for business reporting, project decision-making, and production issues troubleshooting.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development, with a focus on POS applications.
  • Proficiency in Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with modern development frameworks and languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of POS hardware and software integration. XStore POS-related experience is a significant asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
