Lead Software Development Manager

About the role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Development Manager to lead the development of a product that helps Retailers transform their Retail Media business and achieve maximum ad revenue.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality software solutions, contributing to system architecture, and ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver scalable software solutions focusing on improving developer productivity and coaching junior team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to system architecture and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers and architects to define technical roadmaps, conduct regular performance reviews, and drive innovation through continuous improvement and process enhancements.

Requirements

  • Possess strong technical expertise in C#/.NET Core or Java and related frameworks.
  • Proficient in working with relational databases like SQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiar with microservices and event-driven architectures using tools like RabbitMQ and Google Pub/Sub.
  • Experienced in using DevOps tools like GitLab CI/CD and leveraging cloud platforms for scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Adept at utilizing observability tools like New Relic to monitor systems.
  • Familiarity with the AdTech or Retail domain is an added advantage.
