Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sustainability Coordinator to support the implementation of green business and renewable energy solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, government agencies, and local partners to enable the growth of sustainable entrepreneurship and climate-aligned livelihoods.

This is a field-intensive role that combines stakeholder coordination, data analysis, and on-ground support for program delivery in various sectors such as solar-powered livelihoods, green mobility, energy-efficient appliances, and other renewable energy-enabled business models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day implementation of green entrepreneurship and renewable energy-linked livelihood interventions;
  • Work closely with partners to identify use-cases, mobilize entrepreneurs, and monitor adoption.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields;
  • Postgraduate qualification in Renewable Energy, Management, Public Policy, or related fields is preferred;
  • Five to eight years of professional experience, with at least two to three years in program coordination, renewable energy access, livelihoods, or MSME promotion;
  • Experience of working on renewable energy solutions, clean energy entrepreneurship, or sustainable livelihoods is essential;
  • Prior experience of engaging with government departments, green energy providers, and financial institutions will be valued.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of renewable energy technologies and their applications in livelihood generation;
  • Program coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders and support field-level implementation effectively;
  • Data analysis skills to track and analyze program data;
  • Government engagement skills to facilitate coordination with district authorities and line departments;
  • Financial inclusion skills to engage with microcredit, loan products, and financing models for entrepreneurs;
  • Communication skills to represent the organization in district forums;
  • Community engagement skills to work with rural or underserved communities and facilitate training/awareness activities;
  • Team orientation skills to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
