We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive senior database administrator to join our organization. This hybrid role combines traditional DBA responsibilities with modern data engineering tasks to support data loads and ensure optimal performance of critical database systems.

  • Data Architecture & Scalability: Redesign and improve storage strategies that have reached scalability limits, evaluate and optimize complex data structures spanning five core applications.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Analyze and resolve performance issues across PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Snowflake environments.
  • Database Administration: Ensure high availability, backups, and disaster recovery across database platforms, monitor and manage database health, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refactor inefficient queries and recommend index strategies or schema redesigns.
  • Support and tune Amazon RDS PostgreSQL deployments for high availability and performance.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of ETL pipelines that support data loads, collaborate with data engineering teams on pipeline orchestration, transformation, and delivery.
