Job Title: Architect of Distributed Systems

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development and implementation of a cutting-edge distributed system.

The role involves designing, upgrading, and maintaining a Service Mesh, migrating Kafka clusters, deploying microservices on OpenShift, and ensuring secure integration in a highly restricted environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a robust Service Mesh architecture using Istio/Red Hat Service Mesh 3.0.
  • Migrate existing Kafka clusters from Mirror Maker & Zookeeper to KRaft architecture, ensuring seamless data replication and minimal downtime.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Kafka and Service Mesh on OpenShift (OCP) environments, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement microservices communication patterns and hybrid cloud/on-prem architectures.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the system, including deployment guides, troubleshooting procedures, and security best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems, with expertise in Kafka upgrades, migration, and management.
  • Hands-on experience with Service Mesh upgrade and configuration using Istio/Red Hat Service Mesh 3.0.
  • Strong understanding of OpenShift (OCP) and microservices communication patterns.
  • Experience working in highly restricted environments with strong focus on security, compliance, and data protection.

  • Prior experience working in banking or financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud/on-prem architectures and containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes.
