Reliability Lead

SVS Corporate Services is seeking a seasoned Reliability Lead with expertise in Aerospace Hardware to join our team. As a key member of our reliability engineering team, you will be responsible for performing reliability analysis, reliability test planning, and execution to ensure the highest product reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform reliability prediction using parts count and parts stress method, with a good understanding of standards like MIL-HDBK-217, Telcordia, and NPRD 95.
- Draft failure mode and effect analysis sheets to identify units posing excessive failure risks and support proposed design changes.
- Develop test plans and procedures to assess product reliability, working closely with lab staff to execute reliability test plans.
- Review design of test fixtures and scripts, providing necessary inputs to improve or optimize test fixtures.
- Interact with device suppliers to set up reliability labs at their locations, ensuring the availability of samples, chamber selection, fixture preparation, and resource planning.
- Maintain test data files, databases, and reports on test status and non-conformances to engineering teams.
- Participate in failure analysis to determine root causes of failures, perform reliability analysis and FEA analysis to formulate hypotheses and validate them through testing.
- Perform analysis on test data to understand trends and variations in performance data.
- Create interim and final engineering reports within agreed timelines, using software tools like PTC Windchill Relex for prediction, FMEA, Reliasoft Weibull++, ALTA, and Blocksim.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams within internal and client organizations.
- Work with cross-functional project teams to support new project proposals.
- Adhere to delivery schedules, costs, and quality metrics.
- Guide and mentor junior reliability engineers, delegating work and monitoring their performance to ensure delivery schedules, costs, and quality targets are met.
- Participate in design reviews to provide reliability findings and recommendations.
- Knowledge on hazard analysis, HAZOP, and HAZID is an added advantage.Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in reliability engineering, preferably from the electronics hardware from aerospace domain. Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication or Electrical and Electronics Engineering is required. Master's degree in Reliability Engineering is preferred. ASQ certification in CRE is also preferred. Green or black belt Six Sigma certification, especially in DFSS or DMAIC, is an added advantage. Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, through formal reports are essential. Ability to synthesize information and communicate findings to drive design improvements is critical. Strong knowledge of software tools like PTC Windchill Relex for prediction, FMEA, Reliasoft Weibull++, ALTA, and Blocksim is necessary.
