Welcome to a world of limitless possibilities, where visionary leaders shape the future of technology and innovation. We are seeking a pioneering Director of Discovery & Automation to join our dynamic team.

As a key member of our Asset and Operations team, you will play a pivotal leadership role in managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and its supporting discovery and automation capabilities. This position is based in Hyderabad and reports directly to the Senior Director of Asset Config and Configuration Management.

Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing a team of configuration management engineers and analysts, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of configuration data across the enterprise. You will drive the development and implementation of scalable operational practices, automation strategies, and data stewardship standards to support IT operations, service management, and compliance.

Leadership & Strategy
  • Lead the configuration management function, setting the strategic direction for CMDB operations, discovery, and automation.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for CMDB maturity, aligning with enterprise IT, cloud, and service management goals.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the team, emphasizing innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Operational Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with governance standards.
  • Establish and maintain operational procedures for managing scan failures, remediation workflows, and CI lifecycle management.
  • Ensure integration of discovery data with CMDB and alignment with service mapping and ITSM processes.
Team Leadership & Technical Stewardship
  • Lead and mentor a team of configuration engineers and analysts, promoting best practices in data stewardship and automation.
  • Provide technical guidance on network topology, cloud computing, and hybrid infrastructure modeling within the CMDB.
  • Ensure the team is equipped with the tools, training, and support needed to deliver high-quality configuration data.
Discovery & Automation Enablement
  • Drive the implementation and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery and automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams to ensure accurate and timely population of the CMDB.
  • Leverage scripting, MID Server configurations, and integration tools to enhance discovery coverage and reliability.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
  • Partner with ITSM, ITOM, security, and enterprise architecture teams to ensure CMDB supports operational and compliance needs.
  • Act as a key liaison for audits, risk assessments, and governance reviews related to configuration data.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
Qualifications & Experiences
  • 10+ years of experience in IT operations, configuration management, or ITOM, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise CMDBs and implementing ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid environments.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow CMDB architecture, CI class modeling, and data governance.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-performing technical teams and managing cross-functional initiatives.
