Job Opportunity: We are seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to lead the operational health of our Accounting and Finance platforms.

This role requires a strong background in automation, monitoring, and incident response. The ideal candidate will have experience working with financial applications, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and reliability of our platforms. This includes building automation scripts, implementing monitoring tools, and leading incident response efforts.

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and improve system resilience.

Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and meet business expectations.
  • Reliability & Availability: Ensure platforms meet defined SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for performance, reliability, and uptime.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Build automation for deployments, monitoring, scaling, and self-healing capabilities.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging for accounting applications and data pipelines.
  • Incident Response: Lead and participate in on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence of production issues.
  • Collaboration: Partner with software engineers, data engineers, and Finance/Accounting teams to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure financial applications and data pipelines meet audit, compliance, and security requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: In computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12-15 Years Experience: In Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Engineering, ideally supporting financial or mission-critical applications.
  • Strong Skills: In monitoring/observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, IaC tools, scripting/programming languages, and containerization.
  • Familiarity: With Snowflake, dbt, financial system integrations, and FinOps practices.
  • Audit & Compliance: Proven ability to manage incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Financial Applications: Experience supporting ERP, revenue recognition systems, accounting platforms.
  • FinOps Practices: Familiarity with optimizing cloud spend in finance-related platforms.
  • Containerization: Experience building resilience into data pipelines and ensuring auditability for accounting data.
