Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Are you a seasoned data professional looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in implementing data governance programs using tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation?

Job Description:

Data Governance - Manager is responsible to build and support the tools & technology required to enable an Enterprise Data Governance program.

This includes acting as a primary contributor for the tool implementation of Data governance programs, building and supporting solutions for Data governance in popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc. to enable data cataloging, meta data management, and data lineage of the enterprise's applications and data sources.

The ideal candidate will also enable enterprise level integration of metadata stores for the business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.

We are looking for a skilled professional who can support in implementing a solution for Data Cataloging with a Data governance tool to establish clear data ownership along with access control management.

In addition, the successful candidate will build custom integrations between the Data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage, and support the enterprise in migrating from existing (and different) data sources like SharePoint, Excel, etc. to a Data Governance tool.

They will also support in implementing a Workflow management system to optimize, improve, and automate the Data Governance workflows for the data stewards to increase output, eliminate repetition, and reduce errors.

Lastly, the candidate will implement the means to track, investigate and correct data quality issues in a Data Governance tool and support in setting up data quality rules for data validation and standardization.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc to implement Data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies.
  • Certifications on these tools are a plus.
