Data Governance Specialist

You will be responsible for leading the management of data assets across aviation operations. Your role requires technical expertise, business acumen, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-value data products in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end data lifecycle from acquisition and modelling to cataloguing and governance.
  • Design and maintain complex data models that support operational excellence.
  • Ensure metadata and data catalogue tools are properly maintained for discoverability and lineage tracking.
  • Develop scalable and secure data products on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Apply foundational data transformation techniques using SQL and Python to prepare data for consumption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Champion data quality, integrity, and compliance across systems and processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
