Job Title: Director of Operations

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to assume the role of Director of Operations. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our organization, ensuring that we maintain a positive work environment, adhere to industry best practices, and continually improve our operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Industrial Relations:
    • Create and implement industrial relations strategies to promote a culture of respect, open communication, and collaboration among employees.
    • Maintain harmonious relationships with employees at all levels, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered.
    • Handle disciplinary cases in accordance with principles of natural justice, ensuring fair treatment for all employees.
    • Ensure prompt implementation of disciplinary actions when necessary.
    • Liaise with government and local authorities to ensure smooth operations and peaceful industrial climates.
    • Nurture good relationships with neighboring industries through participation in HR network forums and other programs.
    • Collaborate with lawyers, investigators, consultants, police, and other administrative bodies to address various issues.
    • Prevent gherao, strikes, lockouts, and industrial disputes that could create an unproductive work environment.
    • Analyze industrial health reports and take proactive measures to promote a healthy work environment for all employees.
    • Monitor and improve the grievance handling mechanism to prevent potential issues.
    • Settle wage and benefit disputes with union employees.
  • Recruitment and Selection:
    • Conduct candidate interviews with the interview committee.
    • Issue offer letters and appointment letters to selected candidates.
    • Participate in manpower planning discussions with HODs.
    • Complete joining and placement formalities for new hires.
    • Negotiate salaries with selected candidates.
    • Prepare manpower budgets.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Formulate policies and procedures to address HR and IR matters within the organization.
    • Establish short-term and long-term HR goals aligned with business objectives.
    • Develop and implement systems to improve organizational efficiency.
  • Administrative Activities:
    • Finalize arrangements for guest houses.
    • Manage canteens at sites and guest houses.
    • Oversee transportation management for staff.
    • Register, insure, and maintain company-owned vehicles.
    • Arrange communication facilities for staff.
    • Organize and celebrate events, parties, picnics, and other functions for staff.
    • Ensure housekeeping and office maintenance.
    • Allot accommodations to staff.
    • Manage guest houses.
