At SignSetu, our mission is to create engaging and accessible learning platforms for Deaf learners.

About the Role
  • We are looking for a talented individual to join our team in developing learner and teacher dashboards using Next.js (TypeScript, Node.js, App Router, React Server Components).
  • The successful candidate will design secure Supabase edge functions, Auth flows, and storage with Row-Level Security.
  • They will model and optimize content, progress, and analytics data in MongoDB (indexes, aggregation pipelines).
  • Our ideal candidate will integrate real-time captioning and sign-language video assets.
  • They will also create data pipelines for AI models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to write unit/integration tests (Vitest/Jest, Playwright) and perform peer code reviews.
  • Proficiency in profiling performance, shrinking bundle sizes, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility is essential.
  • The selected candidate will collaborate with Operations to roll out releases to partner Deaf schools, gather feedback, and squash production bugs quickly.
Requirements
  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent self-taught experience is required.
  • 6+ months of hands-on experience with React/Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of Supabase (Auth, Postgres, Storage) or SQL fundamentals is required.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub flow and modern JavaScript tooling (pnpm or yarn, eslint, prettier) is beneficial.
