The Insurance & Taxation role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including coordinating insurance-related activities and maintaining accurate records.

Key to this position is ensuring timely deductions and deposits of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), as well as preparing and filing TDS returns in compliance with statutory regulations.

In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing day-to-day accounting transactions, preparing monthly reconciliation statements, and supporting month-end closing activities.

To excel in this role, one must possess a sound knowledge of insurance policies, terms, and claim procedures, as well as proficiency in accounting software such as Tally ERP or SAP. Strong organizational and communication skills are also essential.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Sound Knowledge of Insurance Policies: Familiarity with various types of insurance policies, including their terms and claim procedures.
  • Working Knowledge of TDS Provisions: Understanding of the Income Tax Act and e-filing procedures related to TDS.
  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Ability to use accounting software like Tally ERP or SAP for financial management.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal departments and external vendors.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Finance: Relevant educational background in commerce, finance, or accounting.
  • Relevant Work Experience: 2-4 years of experience in insurance coordination, taxation, and accounting.
  • Familiarity with Statutory Compliance: Knowledge of audit requirements and statutory compliance regulations.
