Job Title: System Support Engineer

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in monitoring and maintaining server performance, as well as providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring Server Performance: Regularly monitor vital server parameters such as CPU, memory, hard disk size, log size, and other key metrics to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Reporting Issues: Report any performance issues to the relevant teams, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Scheduled Tasks: Monitor scheduled tasks on the system and ensure they complete successfully. If there are failures, rerun the task as needed.
  • Ticketing and Communication: Monitor email, Teams channels, and ticketing systems for new items and tickets, and update them with initial responses. Gather additional details from stakeholders as required and reproduce issues in testing environments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Customer-Facing Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of customer-facing experience is essential for this role.
  • Technical Background: Strong technical background in Java, scripting, or related technologies would be an added advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to provide effective support to customers.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
