IT Category Lead

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage RFX and Contracting activities for IT projects.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the contracting process for low to medium risk IT Hardware, Software & Services projects
- Drive RFX activities including drafting RFP requirements, collaborating with suppliers, and analyzing responses
- Partner closely with category leads to improve strategic sourcing processes
- Negotiate and execute contracts with legal, category leads, and suppliers
- Manage eSourcing and Contract tools, leading automation, digitization, and dashboarding initiatives
- Deliver cost savings, contract coverage, and sourcing productivity per annual targets
- Coach junior procurement team members on RFX & Contracting best practices
- Support supplier development capabilities in partnership with the global team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (engineering/technical background preferred); MBA (good to have)
- 8–10 years of procurement experience (with at least 2-3 years in IT category)
- RFX & Contracting expertise – Must have
- Knowledge & experience of end-to-end sourcing process – Good to have
- Proficiency in eSourcing tools (Ariba) and CLM systems (e.g., Selectica)
- Strong contract execution & supplier management skills – Must have
- Able to support contract (SLA) negotiation with data analysis and subject knowledge
- Familiarity with other indirect procurement categories – Good to have
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting/dashboards for decision support
- Broad understanding of Global Procurement activities
- Effective communication skills, presentation skills, and proficiency in English language
- Experience in working in matrix organization structure
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause identification skills
- Experience with large-scale organizational change effort
