Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement culinary strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory control.
  • Supervise a team of senior culinary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with the executive steward to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as hotel standards and policies.
  • Monitor food costs and develop strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.
  • Participate in management meetings to review progress and develop business plans.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare payroll and attendance reports, as well as weekly staff schedules.
  • Conduct departmental meetings to communicate with team members and address operational issues.


Requirements


  • Diploma in hospitality management or culinary arts preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing food production and culinary operations in a hotel.
  • Excellent English language proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High degree of professionalism and sound human resources management capabilities.
