Job Description

The role involves managing a portfolio of financial lines business and developing underwriting strategies to drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating, analyzing, and underwriting Financial Lines business within defined authority.
  • Structuring, pricing, and negotiating treaty and facultative reinsurance arrangements.
  • Reviewing submissions, assessing risk exposure, and providing tailored solutions.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing a book of business while maintaining profitability.
  • Monitoring market trends, claims experience, and emerging risks impacting liability lines.
  • Contributing to product development and portfolio diversification initiatives.

Key skills required for this role include:

  • Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management.
  • Commercial acumen with strategic thinking ability.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

Required qualifications include:

  • 7+ years of experience in Liability/Financial Lines underwriting (insurance or reinsurance).
  • Deep understanding of D&O, PI, Cyber, and other specialty liability products.
  • Graduate / Postgraduate degree, preferably with professional qualifications.
