Job Title: Agriculture Insurance Risk Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of an Agriculture Insurance Risk Analyst.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and underwriting agriculture insurance policies.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess risks associated with agriculture-related insurance applications, including crops, livestock, machinery, and farm infrastructure.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of agricultural risks using historical data, climate forecasts, farm management practices, and geographic factors.
  • Design and recommend appropriate coverage levels and policy terms based on risk assessments and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with loss control teams to suggest risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses.
  • Utilize various analytical tools and techniques to assess risk, including geographic information systems (GIS), historical weather data, and crop yield reports.
  • Work closely with clients, agents, and brokers to explain underwriting decisions and help them understand the policy coverage.
  • Ensure that all underwriting practices meet regulatory guidelines and company policies, adhering to local, regional, and national agricultural insurance regulations.
  • Collaborate with actuaries to develop pricing models for agriculture insurance products and work with claims teams to assess and manage loss events.
  • Prepare detailed reports on underwriting activities, including risk assessments, policy performance, and market trends.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in agriculture insurance or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, agents, and brokers.
  • Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) and other analytical tools.
