Business Analyst - Insurance Domain Expertise

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst with strong experience in process mapping, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.

  • This role requires analyzing business processes, identifying gaps, and creating detailed mappings to support system implementations, process improvements, and regulatory compliance.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders across underwriting, claims, policy servicing, and IT to gather and document business requirements.
  • A key aspect of this position is defining and documenting data flows between systems, ensuring alignment with business rules and regulatory requirements.
  • Additionally, the successful candidate will identify gaps between current and desired states and propose actionable solutions.
  • Acting as a liaison between business units and technical teams, clear communication and alignment are crucial for success.
  • This role involves preparing BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and user stories to support development and testing teams.
  • Assisting in UAT planning, execution, and defect tracking ensures that solutions meet business needs.
  • Mapped processes must adhere to insurance regulations and support risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
  2. Creating detailed process maps using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or ARIS.
  3. Defining data flows between systems and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  4. Identifying gaps and proposing solutions.
  5. Liaising between business units and technical teams.
  6. Preparing project documentation.
  7. Ensuring mapped processes align with insurance regulations.
