Job Title: Financial Controller">

Overview:

The Financial Controller is a key role that requires strategic financial planning, leadership, and management skills. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing property-wide strategies to deliver products and services that meet or exceed the needs and expectations of our target customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing financial data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
  • Compiling information, analyzing, and monitoring actual sales against projected sales.
  • Developing means to improve profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new business opportunities, etc.
  • Identifying underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Thinking creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new business plans.
  • Protecting and strengthening our competitive advantage by advocating and supporting sound business and financial decision-making.
  • Ensuring a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, improve operations, and profitability.
  • Implementing a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks.
  • Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
  • Communicating the strategic goals, focus, and owner priorities to subordinates in a clear and precise manner.
  • Providing excellent leadership by assigning team members and other departments managers clear accountability backed by appropriate authority.
  • Holding staff accountable for successful performance.
  • Sending reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
  • Ensuring Profits and Losses are documented accurately.
  • Achieving and exceeding goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
  • Making necessary corrections to audit results if required.
  • Reviewing audit issues to ensure accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major.
  • 2 years experience in the finance and accounting or related professional area.
  • OR Master's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major. No work experience required.
