Legal Manager Job Description

As a Legal Manager at TrillionLoans, you will play a critical role in managing our legal and regulatory affairs. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Advising, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and closing commercial agreements including third-party contracts, service agreements, partnerships, and license agreements.
  2. Supporting general corporate legal matters with a solid understanding of the Indian Companies Act, 2013, and related regulations, including corporate governance and group company legal affairs.
  3. Assisting in creating and streamlining processes for efficient contract negotiation and management, including developing and maintaining standard form agreements and legal databases.
  4. Leading and overseeing communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging across internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Engaging proactively with regulatory bodies, providing policy advocacy support, and ensuring compliance with RBI, SEBI, FEMA, and other relevant frameworks, especially those applicable to NBFCs/financial institutions.

We seek a talented and experienced Legal Manager with the following qualifications:

  1. A Law Graduate from a recognized university with 3-5 years post-qualification experience, preferably from a law firm.
  2. Experience in fintech, banking, M&A, and/or general corporate legal matters is essential.
  3. Candidates with prior exposure to debt transactions and the fintech/banking sector will be given preference.
  4. Strong knowledge of Indian regulatory frameworks such as RBI guidelines for NBFCs, SEBI, FEMA, and Companies Act compliance.
  5. A proactive legal professional who can collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and engage with regulatory bodies confidently.
