Electrical Service Engineer Job Description

At our esteemed organization, we seek an experienced and skilled Electrical Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting methods.

This is a field-based role that requires the ability to install, service, and maintain electrical systems, control panels, and industrial machinery. You must be proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults in equipment such as motors, drives, PLCs, and HMIs.

The successful candidate will support commissioning and testing of new machines and equipment, provide technical support to clients and operators regarding equipment usage and performance, and maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and records of work completed.

To excel in this role, you will need to coordinate with project, design, and automation teams to resolve complex technical issues, travel to customer sites for service, breakdown support, and on-site inspections.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • BE/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Service Engineer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, schematics, and troubleshooting methods
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming, HMI operation, and automation systems
  • Familiarity with motors, drives, sensors, and control circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
